The main class at Ringsend & Irishtown Community Centre was dedicated to Nemoto Sensei, who turns 76 tomorrow. Those who have trained with him will remember his tradition of leading intense, fast-paced summer classes during the hottest days of July. In tribute to his remarkable energy and teaching style, we followed one of his favourite sequences that gradually expands, adding new techniques at each stage while maintaining the flow of the previous ones.
We began with foundational movements to open the class:

🌿This coming weekend, we will celebrate the 5th Anniversary of Takemusu Aikido Society with our Annual Bukiwaza Workshop.
The workshop is an opportunity for Aikido students from different dojos to train together, exchange experiences, and enjoy a social gathering afterwards. We are looking forward to welcoming old friends and new faces for a day of practice, connection, and celebration.
💫 New to Aikido?
We welcome practitioners of all levels and ages at Takemusu Aikido Society. Whether you're taking your first step or deepening your practice, there’s always something to learn and share.
