Balbriggan Dojo. 23 May 2025

Today, many of our members were away attending the seminars in Northern Ireland and the USA. With a few members on the mats, we concentrated on 6 basic Aikido Kokyu moves and related techniques. Kokyu Dosa was framed by Inagaki sensei and learned by our instructors during their time in Japan.

  • Kokyu Dosa - 6 Kokyu moves
  • Movement 1
    • Tai no Henko
    • Tai no Henko Ki no Nagare Jutai
    • Tai no Henko Ki no Nagare Ryutai
  • Movement 2
    • Shomen Uchi Ikkyo Omote
  • Movement 3
    • Ryotedori Ikkyo Omote
  • Movement 4
    • Morotedori Kokyuho
  • Movemen5
    • Kataetdori Kokyuho
  • Movement 6
    • Morotedori Kokyunage

As we discovered today, many Aikido techniques involve several movements forming the Kokyu Dosa exercise.
