Ringsend Dojo. 15 April 2025
Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming two visitors to the mats at Ringsend Dojo.
One was an experienced aikidoka from Turkey, with 27 years of practice, who runs his own dojo in Istanbul. It was a great opportunity to share training with someone of such depth and experience.
We also welcomed a newcomer to Aikido, an active martial artist with a background in boxing and kickboxing, and previous experience in kendo and judo.
Today, we covered the following techniques:
- Tai no Henko
- Tai no Henko Ki no Nagare
- Morotedori Kokyuho
- Katatedori Ikkyo Omote
- Katatedori Kaitenage Uchi Mawari
- Katatedori Kaitenage Soto Mawari
In our dojo tradition, visiting black belts are invited to teach a technique of their choice at the end of class. This time it was Kosadori Kotegaeshi
We concluded the class with
- Zagi Kokyuho.
