Ringsend Dojo. 3 December 2025
Today in our Ringsend Dojo, we were delighted to see how moved our new member was when we presented him with a free keikogi, purchased thanks to the generosity of As Darragh Did. From now on, all new members of Takemusu Aikido Society will receive a free keikogi as part of our Pathway to Aikido programme, which we are delivering with the support of As Darragh Did.
With a new member on the mats, we began a new study cycle and focused on Ikkyo, the First Teaching. This technique is always the foundation of how we introduce Aikido.
Today we covered:
- Tai no Henko
- Tai no Henko Ki no Nagare
- Morotedori Kokyuho
- Suwariwaza Shomen Uchi Ikkyo Omote & Ura
- Yokomen Uchi Ikkyo Omote & Ura
- Katatedori Ikkyo Omote
- Morotedori Ikkyo Ura
- Katadori Ikkyo Omote
- Zagi Kokyuho
