Balbriggan Dojo. 3 May 2025

Today in Balbriggan Dojo, we welcomed the father of one of our members, who came to practise with us while he visited his son.

Today at our Balbriggan Dojo, we had the pleasure of welcoming the father of one of our members, who joined us on the mat while visiting his son — a heartwarming moment that beautifully captured the spirit of Aikido across generations.

During the class, we focused on:

• Tai no Henko
• Tai no Henko Ki no Nagare
• Morotedori Kokyuho
• Kosadori Kotegaeshi
• Kosadori Shihonage
• Zagi Kokyuho

Afterwards, we headed to the nearby Martello Tower and practised Aiki-Jo Suburi under the golden evening sun:

Tsuki no Bu:
• Chokuzuki
• Kaeshizuki
• Ushirozuki
• Tsuki Gedan Gaeshi
• Tsuki Jodan Gaeshi

Men Uchi no Bu:
• Shomen Uchikomi
• Renzoku Uchikomi
• Men Uchi Gedan Gaeshi
• Men Uchi Ushirozuki
• Gyaku Yokomen Ushirozuki

Katate no Bu:
• Katate Gedan Gaeshi
• Katate Tooma Uchi
• Katate Hachi no Ji Gaeshi

☀️ A memorable session in a beautiful setting — blending tradition, family, and the joy of movement.
