Balbriggan Dojo. Women in Sports Week. 8 March 2025

Today, we wrapped up our Women in Sports Week with an inspiring session at Balbriggan Dojo. We had the pleasure of welcoming determined and open-minded women who joined us to explore the foundations of Aiki-ken.

The class focused on essential sword work, building precision and flow through these movements:

  • Ken no Kamae Migi & Hidari
  • Shiboru Undo Migi & Hidari
  • Suburi 1
  • Suburi 2
  • Suburi 3
  • Suburi 4
  • Suburi 5
  • Suburi 6
  • Suburi 7
  • Zengogiri
  • Shihogiri Migi & Hidari.

Each new participant received a special gift, thanks to the generous support of Fingal County Sports Office. We’re also grateful to Pappagallino’s Ice Cream Café for helping us spread the word!

💪 While Women in Sports Week may be over, the spirit continues—our mats are always open for those curious to explore the art of Aikido.
