Today was a great day for S. After a year of Aikido practice she finally passed her first-ever kyu test. Congratulations with 6th kyu!

Apart from the test, we covered the following techniques today:

  • Tai no Henko
  • Tai no Henko Ki no Nagare
  • Morotedori Kokyuho
  • Kosadori Kotegaeshi 1
  • Kosadori Kotegaeshi 2
  • Katatedori Kotegaeshi
  • Zagi Kokyuho

Today we had our first practice in the Orwell Hall of Christ Church Rathgar. Once a month we'll do bukiwaza there. This time we did Aiki-ken and covered the very basic movements. Today the weather permitted us to organise the bukiwaza workshop planned since early July. Unfortunately, many people who were interested could not make it today, but with the smaller number of attendees, we could get a more individual approach. Part I.
